ABOUT YVONNE
Yvonne Mouser is a San Francisco based artist, designer, and builder whose practice spans furniture design, product, spaces, fine art, and events. Her work is deeply rooted in process, as she experiments, tests, and prototypes before executing her well-crafted one-of-a-kind objects and small production pieces. In addition to working independently as a designer, Yvonne is co-founder of YMSF, a collaboration with the accessory design studio Stella Fluorescent. She is also co-founder of New Factory, a design studio and workshop, and Thought for Food, an interdisciplinary collective focused on food and the artifacts associated with eating. Her work is included in private collections and has been exhibited throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and internationally at venues including the Salon Del Mobile (Milan), the Museum of Craft and Design and the Museum of Craft and Folk Art (San Francisco), the Headlands Center for the Arts (Sausalito), COPIA (Napa), and the Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation for Arts and Crafts (Alta Loma).
During Yvonne's Spring 2018 residency with us, she'll create jigs & use steam-bending techniques with wood to make a series of objects.
