Linda Belden is an artist and designer based in San Francisco. In 2002, Linda’s interest in textiles became a design company creating contemporary area rugs which are hand woven for her in Oaxaca, Mexico and Nepal. Her handmade rugs have been featured in leading design magazines including Interior Design, Modern Rugs and Textiles, California Home and Design, In Style, and Country Living.
She is currently working on a series of “stitched pictures”, embroideries on linen, often based on places she has visited. These pictures are mementos of things she has seen and done. Linda is interested in using traditional handcrafts to make modern imagery and her workshop will teach others how to make their own embroidered pictures.
